Fellowship in Clinical Embryology

Fellowship in Clinical Embryology

The Fellowship in Clinical Embryology (FCE) and the Institutional Fellowship in Clinical Embryology (IFCE) are advanced training programs designed to cultivate expertise in clinical embryology beyond conventional courses. These programs integrate technical proficiency, scientific knowledge, soft skills, professional development, and research acumen to shape highly skilled embryologists.

The one-year, full-time residential clinical embryology program is conducted in collaboration with GarbhaGudi IVF Centre, one of the leading IVF centers in India. The program offers comprehensive, hands-on training, allowing participants to work closely with experienced embryologists and gain in-depth expertise in handling human embryos and gametes

The curriculum also includes training in research methodology and teaching, with access to GarbhaGudi Scientific Review Committee and GarbhaGudi Ethics Committee, to support research projects and the writing of original research articles or papers.

Eligibility:

  • Successful completion of the online examination and personal interview.

  • The training program will be subject to the availability of seats in one of the two batches, i.e., March/April or September/October (Classes and wet laboratory sessions are planned on working days) each year.

Key Benefits:

  1. 1. Develop proficiency in handling gametes and embryos through advanced ART techniques.

  2. 2. Proficiently perform techniques such as andrology, IVF, ICSI, embryo culture, vitrification, and cryopreservation.

  3. 3. Master the use of microscopes, imaging software, and other technologies for embryo evaluation and manipulation.

  4. 4. Apply the principles of cell biology, reproductive genetics, molecular biology, and ART regulations.

  5. 5. Acquire the capability to troubleshoot laboratory challenges and ensuring optimal embryo development.

  6. 6. Effectively communicate with couples, fertility specialists, and laboratory staff to ensure seamless collaboration and patient-counselling skills.

  7. 7. Network with experienced embryologists, fertility specialists, peers, researchers, stay updated on best practices, and industry developments.

  8. 8. Logbook: Participants must complete a logbook documenting procedures performed under faculty supervision. It will be periodically reviewed and assessed during the final evaluation.

  9. 9. We at GGIRHR provide placements for skilled embryologists at GarbhaGudi IVF Centre and offer references for others.

Pedagogy:

Our goal is to empower bioscience, biotechnology, embryology, life science, medical, and veterinary professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to address and overcome complications faced by infertile couples. We achieve this through a combination of theory, laboratory work, hands-on experience, interactive discussions, case-based learning, and advanced technology-driven tools to foster critical thinking and problem-solving at GarbhaGudi IVF Centre. Effective learning is facilitated when like-minded professionals are actively engaged in a collaborative ecosystem. This holistic approach ensures our participants are prepared to alleviate infertility challenges, providing them with an excellent understanding and practical exposure in the rapidly evolving clinical embryology, and reproductive biology space.

Exit Exam: The exit examination consists of three stages: Dissertation/Project work, Theory, and Practical Examinations.

* A minimum of 80% attendance must be maintained by participants to secure a hall ticket.

* An additional fee of ₹14,100 towards application, examination, and convocation is applicable and excluded from the total fee.

* The fees can be paid in a one-time payment or in installments. Please connect with us for additional information.
